Oman, Middle East

Oman was not on my radar of places to visit in the world. But when the opportunity came up to spend two weeks there with my partner after he finished a study tour I couldn't refuse!
Over the years I've been very fortunate to travel to some incredible countries across many different continents and Oman did not disappoint.
Oman is a country rich in culture and this is evident in the endless castles, fortes and mosques that are dotted across the horizon.
The people are the forefront of a culture that is loyal to their best traditions based on hospitality, family and friendship.
What really surprised and delighted me was that while keeping up with the times they stay loyal to their heritage and this is reflected in their architecture. You wont find a horizon of sky scrapers like the UAE. Instead the action is found within the Souq Mutrah, 4 wheel driving in Wahiba sands or hanging out in the local barber.

One of the perks of my job is collaborating with local artists and designers to create a beautiful series of photography work which makes their products sing.

Working with the talented Eleisha Gray we have produced this series of photographs using abstract forms by Anchor Ceramics.
